BRUSA Elektronik AG develops a new range of inverters for AC electric drives 400VDC up to150kW. The extremely flat units (88mm) are intended for hybrid / electric cars, buses and trucks. Prices will be comparable to conventional designs, while volume and weight are cut in half. Universal design and flexible software - employing vector control - supports all types of AC motors (induction, PM synchronous, hybrid synchronous) from high torque to high speed drives. The model DMC524 (400V/100kW) is available already, 50kW and 150kW models will follow soon. An 800VDC range is planned and will be developed in line with market demand.
